The purpose of ESMI Paid Sick Time Policy is to provide each employee designated as part-time (working less than 30 or more weekly standard hours) with up to a maximum of 48 hours of paid sick time. 

The sick leave year runs from January 1 to December 31. Beginning at the commencement of their employment, employees will accrue one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every thirty (30) hours worked.  Employees may begin to use paid sick leave as it is accrued.

Employees may use accrued paid sick leave in increments of 1 hour
